Supply chain Management has assumed a significant role in firm's performance and has attracted serious research attention over the last few years. A literature review reveals a considerable spurt in research in theory and practice of SCM. Combining and informing on features of Supply Management and distribution Management. This integration has resulted in the concept of extended enterprise and the supply chain is now manifest as the collaborative supply chain across intercompany borders to maximize the value across the entire supply chain. Supply Chain Management (SCM) has been widely researched in numerous application domains during the last two decades. Despite the popularity of SCM research and applications, considerable confusion remains as to its meaning. There are several attempts made by researchers and practitioners to appropriately define SCM, particularly for the service industries. The chronological prospective of SCM in different areas of manufacturing and service industries through various time frames have been illustrated. The Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a research area that has received a lot of attention from many researchers in different disciplines. The multidisciplinary origin of SCM has led to a variety of definitions and approaches. Despite the vast body of academic literature on the subject, there are few examples of successful SCM implementations. Indeed, the implementation of SCM requires the deployment of a set of practices that the company should establish to ensure its success. The implementation of SCM practices can impact the various components of the company's performance. The aim of this paper is to review the different definitions and approaches of the SCM, present the practices that allow companies to better manage their supply chain. Also analyze the various performance measures and the impact of SCM practices on the overall performance.

Supply chain management is constantly evolving. The business world is transitioning from one paradigm to the next. In the corporate sector, supply chain 4.0 is the most recent trend. This article examines and analyses the existing state-of-the-art literature on Supply Chain Management 4.0 (SCM 4.0) and the interaction between digital technologies and Supply Chain Management. A bibliometric study and a literature assessment of state-of-the-art publications in the relevant topic were done. The impact of emerging technology on various supply chain operations is examined in this research. In addition, the study establishes a foundation for future research and practice. Because it describes the pillar components for any supply chain change, the suggested work is valuable for both academics and practitioners. It also suggests a set of study questions that might be utilized as a foundation for the field's future research. This research presents a fresh and original literature review-based study on SCM4.0, as there is currently no comprehensive evaluation accessible that includes bibliometric analysis, motives, impediments, and the impact of technologies on distinct SC processes.
